FinFriend · Retention and deletion

FinFriend Data Lifecycle Notice

Retention and deletion logic for FinFriend account records, planning data, support history, and technically retained copies.

This notice summarizes how FinFriend data is retained, reviewed, and deleted.

Active use

While a FinFriend account remains active, BrasMedia may retain account data, user-entered planning information, support records, and relevant security logs for the continued operation and protection of the service.

Deletion and closure

When a user closes an account or a valid deletion request is approved, BrasMedia expects to remove or anonymize data when identifiable retention is no longer justified. Some records may remain longer where legal, accounting, security, or dispute-related reasons require that result.

Financially relevant records

Because financial-context products can generate support, audit, or dispute questions after an account change, certain records may need to remain available for a defensible operational period even after a user stops active use.

Backups and technical copies

Technical backups, caches, and short-lived recovery copies may persist temporarily before they are overwritten through normal system operations.

Relationship to account deletion

This notice describes the broader retention model. To initiate a public deletion request, use the FinFriend Account Deletion Guidance.
