This privacy notice explains the data categories and privacy logic that are specific to FinFriend. It should be read together with the BrasMedia Global Privacy Notice.
What this notice covers
This notice addresses the data categories, purposes, sharing logic, retention posture, and rights-routing expectations that are specific to FinFriend.
Data categories
Depending on the feature set in use, FinFriend may process:
- account and profile information;
- financial planning information that a user enters or authorizes, such as budgets, categories, goals, balances, cash-flow context, or similar data;
- support and product-feedback records;
- authentication, security, and device-level access data relevant to operating the service.
FinFriend may receive this information directly from the user, from an organization administering access, or from integrations or import workflows the user authorizes.
Why the data is used
FinFriend may use relevant data to:
- provide the requested product functionality;
- personalize the user experience within the scope of the product;
- improve product quality, security, and support;
- satisfy accounting, legal, compliance, or abuse-prevention obligations.
Lawful bases and consent posture
Depending on the context, BrasMedia may rely on contract-related necessity, legitimate interests, legal obligations, or consent where consent is the appropriate basis. If an optional feature introduces a materially different use of financially relevant data, BrasMedia expects that use to be documented rather than implied.
Financially sensitive context
Because FinFriend may involve financially relevant information, BrasMedia expects access to that information to be limited to people, systems, and service providers that need it for the legitimate operation of the service or for lawful compliance needs.
This page does not state that BrasMedia performs regulated credit scoring, lending decisions, or automated legal decisions solely on the basis of the information described here unless another feature-specific notice says otherwise.
Sharing and service providers
FinFriend may rely on hosting, storage, monitoring, analytics, communications, or support providers to operate the product. Product data may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate abuse, or support an authorized customer relationship.
No sale of personal financial context
This page does not authorize the sale of identifiable personal financial data for unrelated third-party marketing use. If FinFriend ever introduces a materially different monetization or data-sharing model, that change should be documented explicitly rather than inferred.
Retention and deletion
Retention depends on the type of record and the relationship involved. For operational retention, deletion review, backups, and closure logic, see the FinFriend Data Lifecycle Notice and the FinFriend Account Deletion Guidance.
Rights and requests
To make an access, correction, deletion, or related request, use Contact and Privacy Requests and identify the product as FinFriend.
Updates
BrasMedia may update this notice when FinFriend features, data flows, or public legal publishing practices materially change. The version and last-updated date identify the current public revision.
